Type Locality and Naming

The type section lies from the south slope of Deriangma Mt. to Xila Mt., 6 km northeast of Yunzhug Township, Xianza, Tibet. It was named by Yang Shipu and Fan Yingnian in 1982.


Lithology and Thickness

Limestone. Composed of gray and light-gray moderately thick- to thick-bedded compact limestone, locally with irregular oolitic and edgewise textures; 158 m thick.

Lower contact

Conformable contact with underlying Upper Devonian Chaguoluoma Fm

Conformable contact with the overlying Pengga Fm

Regional extent

Distributed around Yunzhug Township of Xianza, Chaguoluoma Mt., Deriangma Mt. and Gyêwa.
